We’re excited to share a recent project where we transformed a customer's property using only water, our specialised equipment, expertise and hard work! Discover how we helped Carol achieve a spotless house and garden exteriosr through our eco-friendly cleaning methods.
Meet the Customer: Carol
6 years ago Carol retreated to her dream property in the Monmouthshire countryside - a large house surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna.
Carol sought our services to clean her roughcast house exterior, paths, and surrounding areas without the use of any harsh chemicals, reflecting her love of nature and commitment to environmental sustainability. She also asked for some of the plants to be left in between the pavers and all property and foliage was treated with the utmost care.
The Challenge
Carol faced a few key issues:
- Dirty Roughcast: the roughcast surfaces were marred by dirt and grime.
- Stained Paths: pathways around the property were plagued by a build up of staining and moss.
- Eco-Friendly Concerns: she needed a cleaning company that would be gentle on her garden and the environment and that would listen to her requests whilst providing an effective clean and transformation.
Our Eco-Friendly Solution
We discussed which plants should be left to grow between the paving stones and developed a tailored plan that used only water, combining high-pressure and low-pressure techniques and our specialised brushes to effectively clean the property while maintaining environmental integrity:
-
High-Pressure Water Cleaning:
- We used high-pressure water jets for the paths and surrounding areas, avoiding and shielding the plants that were to remain. This method efficiently removed dirt, grime, and moss without chemicals.
-
Low-Pressure Telescopic Pole and Brush:
- For the roughcast surfaces, we employed a low-pressure telescopic pole and brush. This gentle yet effective technique ensured a thorough clean without damaging the surface or nearby plants.
The Process
-
Preparation:
- We started by clearing away debris and loose dirt.
- Nearby plants were protected by pre-watering to ensure any runoff was harmless.
-
Cleaning Roughcast:
- Using a low-pressure telescopic pole and brush, our team carefully scrubbed the roughcast surfaces. This method effectively lifted grime and dirt without harming the material or surroundings.
3. Cleaning Paths and Surrounds:
- The high-pressure water jets were employed to clean the paths and surrounding areas. This technique swiftly removed stains and moss, restoring the pathways to their original condition.
-
Final Touches:
- After cleaning, we conducted a thorough inspection to ensure no spots were missed.
- Protective coverings were removed, and we gently rinsed off any dirty water from the plants and leaves and any spray that had gone onto the walls, windows and upvc.
- All excess mud, dirt, debris and green waste was safely removed by us to be disposed of through the correct channels.
The Results
The transformation was impressive. Roughcast surfaces looked revitalise, and the paths and surrounds left free of stains and moss. All whilst respecting the natural wildlife, plant life and the garden's very own ecosystem.
